Connect eBay
Connect your account
Section titled “Connect your account”- Go to Channels and choose to connect eBay.
- Enter an Account name (something like “My eBay store” — this is just how CellerHub labels the channel; eBay never sees it).
- Select Open eBay consent. This opens eBay’s own consent screen in your browser.
- Approve the connection on eBay. eBay redirects back to CellerHub, and the connection completes automatically.
If the redirect back to CellerHub doesn’t work, CellerHub offers a manual fallback: paste the address of the page eBay sent you to. That works whether eBay approved the connection or refused it.
If eBay refuses the request, CellerHub tells you so directly rather than leaving you staring at an eBay error page — nothing is connected, and you can try again.
“Your eBay terms”
Section titled ““Your eBay terms””As soon as the connection completes, CellerHub creates a starter listing recipe for the account — but it leaves the shipping and payment/return terms empty on purpose. CellerHub never invents handling days or a return window on your behalf; a live listing under terms you never chose is exactly what this is designed to avoid.
If those terms are still missing, CellerHub shows you the Your eBay terms screen right away, with two sections:
- Shipping terms
- Payment & return terms
Fill them in and select Save eBay terms, or select Later to come back to it — you’ll find the same forms under Settings → Listing setup whenever you’re ready. You cannot publish a listing on eBay until these are set (see Preflight).
Already have eBay policies?
Section titled “Already have eBay policies?”If you already set up shipping, payment and return policies in eBay’s own Seller Hub, select Already set these up on eBay? Use my existing eBay policies instead. CellerHub reads your existing policies and lets you pick which ones to import, rather than asking you to re-enter terms you’ve already written down.
If one of your policies uses something CellerHub can’t represent (for example, a restocking fee, or the Global Shipping Program), CellerHub tells you so and skips importing that one rather than quietly dropping the part it can’t copy — that’s a deliberate choice, not a bug: a listing under terms different from the policy you actually chose is worse than no import at all.
eBay business policies turn on automatically
Section titled “eBay business policies turn on automatically”Publishing with a template requires your eBay account to be opted into eBay’s “Selling Policy Management” program — a separate step from approving CellerHub in the OAuth consent screen. CellerHub opts your account in for you automatically, both right after you connect and again if a publish needs it. eBay can take up to 24 hours to finish processing that opt-in; if you publish during that window, CellerHub tells you it’s still pending rather than treating it as a normal failure.
