Stock adjustments and warehouses

A product’s stock isn’t one number — it’s tracked per warehouse. What’s actually published to your channels is worked out from those warehouse quantities together.

On a product’s page, each warehouse it stocks gets its own row showing:

  • N on hand — what you actually have.
  • N reserved — stock held by open orders that haven’t shipped yet. This moves automatically as orders come in and ship; you don’t set it by hand.
  • N available — on hand minus reserved. This is what gets published to your channels.

To change the on-hand quantity, use the +/ buttons to step it by one unit at a time (applied immediately), or type a new number directly into the box and press Enter or click away to set it to exactly that value.

Each row also has a Bin location field, if you want to note where in the warehouse the stock physically sits, and a Transaction history link that opens a log of every adjustment made in that warehouse — restocks and corrections alike.

A warehouse is a place stock is held, with its own address — the address that becomes your ship-from / item-location address on channels that need one (see Your ship-from address). You create and manage warehouses under Settings → Warehouses.

When you connect a channel, you can pin it to a single warehouse. When a channel is pinned, sales on it only ever deduct from that warehouse’s stock — it won’t sell what you’re holding somewhere else. Leave it unpinned to sell from stock across all your warehouses.
