Suggested prices
When CellerHub suggests a price — on a scan, an eBay search result, or a product page — it’s built from current asking prices on eBay, not sold prices.
Where the number comes from
Section titled “Where the number comes from”CellerHub looks at fixed-price eBay listings that match the item, and takes the median of their asking prices. That’s the number in the middle of the pack, not an average — one wildly high or low listing doesn’t drag the estimate with it.
This is deliberately not based on what things actually sold for. eBay’s sold and completed listing data lives behind a separate API that CellerHub doesn’t have access to, so an estimate always reflects what sellers are asking right now, not what buyers are paying. Treat it as a starting point for where the market currently sits, not a guarantee of what you’ll get.
Condition matters
Section titled “Condition matters”An estimate is priced against listings in the same condition as your item where CellerHub can tell what that is. If there aren’t enough comparable listings in that exact condition, it falls back to the nearest condition that has some — and says so, rather than showing a number without explaining where it came from.
