"eBay business policies" pending

eBay listings use “business policies” for shipping, payment, and returns. Before your account can have any, eBay requires it to be opted into its Selling Policy Management program.

CellerHub handles this opt-in for you automatically — you don’t configure anything for it. But eBay’s own processing for a new opt-in can take up to 24 hours to finish on their side.

What you’ll see

While this is still processing, the Ready to sell checklist on your eBay channel shows this as informational rather than as something blocking you, because CellerHub already knows it’s automatic. If you try to publish a listing during this window, the publish can fail with a message about business policies not being ready yet.

What to do

Nothing to configure — just wait and try again later. If it’s been significantly longer than 24 hours and publishing still fails for this reason, contact support.
