Your first sync
After you connect a channel, CellerHub runs a sync that backfills 30 days of orders. What it does with each order depends on when the order happened, not what status it currently has.

Does it deduct stock?
Section titled “Does it deduct stock?”| Order | Deducts stock? |
|---|---|
| Shipped or delivered before you connected the channel | No — imported, but not deducted |
| Shipped or delivered after you connected the channel | Yes |
| Still pending or paid, whenever it happened | Reserved (not deducted yet, but held) |
The reasoning: an order that was already shipped before you connected is your own backlog — you counted your shelf and entered your on-hand quantity after that sale already happened, so it’s already reflected in the number you entered. Deducting it again would subtract the same sale twice. An order that shipped after you connected is a genuinely new sale made through the channel’s own tools, so it has to come off your stock or CellerHub would be advertising stock that’s no longer there.
A pending or unshipped order reserves stock either way, because the item is on your shelf and already owed to a buyer.
If one of these orders is later cancelled or refunded, CellerHub gives back stock only for orders it actually deducted — an order that was imported without moving stock stays that way, so a refund can’t hand back stock that was never taken from your count.
