Item specifics and identifiers

Beyond a title and description, marketplaces want structured details about the item: brand, size, material, and so on — “item specifics” on eBay. They also want identifiers where the item has them: a UPC or an MPN (manufacturer part number).

The confirm sheet fills in as many of these as it can when you add a product, showing where each value came from. Where an item genuinely has no part number, CellerHub uses eBay’s own wording for that — “Does not apply” — rather than making you tick a box on every product that doesn’t have one.

Some specifics aren’t available from the same bulk information CellerHub already reads during a sync — filling them in for an existing listing can take a per-listing lookup, which CellerHub paces out rather than doing for your whole catalogue at once. If a listing’s item specifics haven’t filled in yet, give it a sync or two before assuming something is wrong.

Preflight tells you when a channel is missing an item specific it requires before it will accept a publish, and names which ones. Fill those in on the product page and the gap clears the next time preflight is checked.
