Cancelling an order

Open the order and choose Cancel order. You can only cancel an order that’s still Pending or Paid — once it’s shipped, delivered, cancelled, or refunded already, cancelling is no longer offered.

You’ll be asked why:

• The buyer asked to cancel
• Out of stock, or the item is damaged
• A problem with the buyer’s address
• Other (eBay records this as out of stock)

Cancelling a pending order that never reserved or deducted any stock returns nothing to your shelf, because nothing was taken from it. Cancelling a paid order returns any stock it had reserved, and CellerHub tries to put any linked listings that had ended back up. If a listing can’t go back up, the cancellation still completes — you’ll see a note naming what couldn’t be relisted so you can look at it yourself.

Cancelling also tells the marketplace, where the channel supports it. If that part doesn’t go through, the order still cancels in CellerHub and the message says so, so you know there’s a follow-up to do on the marketplace directly.

Voiding a label

A label can be voided as long as the order hasn’t been marked shipped and told to the channel yet. Once a marketplace — and its buyer — has been told an order shipped with that tracking number, CellerHub won’t let you void the label, because it can’t un-tell them. A voided label can’t be reprinted, and can’t be voided a second time.
